LYDIAN is a simulation and visualization environment for distributed algorithms that provides students an experimental environment to test and visualize the behaviour of distributed algorithms. It gives to the students the ability to create easily their own experiments and visualize the behaviour of the algorithms on their experiments. Lydian is easy to use and can also be extended.

LYDIAN features a GUI written in Tcl/Tk, including a canvas that shows animations of the progression of distributed algorithms as they execute.
