If Tcl/Tk's application to Google's Summer of Code will be accepted, as an author and submitter, I think that it should be reviewed and corrected. As I've written it several times I've done what I could to meet the deadline.
Here is original application text:
1. What is your Organization's Name?Tcl Developer Xchange/Community2. What is your Organization's Homepage?http://tcl.tk/

About Your Mentors1. What criteria did you use to select these individuals as mentors? Please be as specific as possible. Our mentors will be self-selected, having an interest in particular features developed, and an interest/need in providing summer opportunities for students. They will consult with Tcl Core Team members and respected Tcl users/developers to help students make good technical decision and achieve the goals beneficial for the Tcl community.2. Who will your mentors be? Please enter their Google Account address separated by commas. If your organization is accepted we will email each mentor to invite them to take part. (optional)EMPTY
About The Program1. What is your plan for dealing with disappearing students?First choose candidates capable of completing given task and with strong motivation. It would be mentors obligation to be in touch with student, monitoring work progress and helping to conduct the project. If a student quits mentor should have a candidate or try to find backup student developer who can continue started work.2. What is your plan for dealing with disappearing mentors?Mentors and student will publish their details of their progress preferably on the created project blog. If there will be no progress signs other mentors will step in as backup mentors, or some help will be given directly from Tcl Core Team members or other community members through the tcl-core mailing list (listed above).3. What steps will you take to encourage students to interact with your project's community before, during and after the program? This is mentor responsibility to introduce a student to the community and the project (if it's not already done). Reporting progress to the community will create feedback and we are convinced that it will encourage/oblige students to interact.4. What will you do to ensure that your accepted students stick with the project after GSoC concludes? We believe that students who will complete the projects find it reasonable to continue collaboration on other Tcl related projects as the best way to enhance its programming skills and build its resume.authored and submitted by tkosiak somehow based on OpenACS application draft at http://openacs.org/forums/message-view?message%5fid=595753

Please place corrected version below:
1. What is your Organization's Name?Tcl/Tk Community2. What is your Organization's Homepage?http://www.tcl.tk/

Here is a place for discussion
tkosiak First we should probably correct our organization name. It would be probably better named Tcl/Tk Community or Tcl/Tk Project.DKF: I can volunteer to handle being a backup mentor of last resort. However, it is very unlikely that I will be able to meet with students (unless they're willing to travel to where I am located!) so my focus would have to be on getting them another mentor more suitable to their location. On a less formal note, I'd always be happy to discuss technical aspects of Tcl/Tk with students on the chat (whether they're using IRC or not; I'm not prejudiced that way.)
